You know, like Final Fantasy things? Character designs and plots you'd see in an anime but are thrown into a video game.
Anyone ever play the 'Tales of...' Series?
Tales of Symphonia IS my favorite video game, so.... discuss.

The charachters from Mirror's Edge appear to be very anime-esque. I NEED to play that game! Everyone I've talked to (all two of them...) have said it's AMAZING 3 years, 11 months ago

Mega Man's been around for a while now and that's a pretty classic game. My friends recently bought some Mega Man games for the game boy, but I heard it was thumbs down. The originals probably had a better plot. Record of Lodoss War was actually a manga and anime that was based off of the work originally created for an RPG like Final Fantasy. Cool Right? 3 years, 11 months ago

Well I meant it as in the Graphics are anime-esque. Not like the FMA Video Games. You know, I'm talking about JRPGs and stuff like that. Apologies, I now see how my title may have been misleading 3 years, 11 months ago

Wait what? What the heck are "anime-based video games?" Yes I read what was written in the first post, but that makes no sense. Final Fantasy was a video game franchise and not very anime-looking last I recall playing FFIII. Just because an RPG has a fantasy storyline that you could see in an anime doesn't make it an anime-based video game. It just makes it a game with 2D animation and/or a coherent plot. I could understand if an anime spawned a video game based off of it, but that rarely occurs - it's generally the other way around, as with the examples posted before me (e.g. Tales of series, FF). 3 years, 11 months ago

I really liked final fantasy 9. I know FF7 is the favorite, but it was a little long to me, but hey I'm probably biased since I just re-played 9 3 years, 11 months ago

Kingdom Hearts is anime-based. They started writing mangas for it also. They're a little hard to follow, though I'm probably having trouble because I read the first vol. of Kingdom Hearts and then read vol. 2 of Kingdom Hearts 2, thus confusing me... 3 years, 11 months ago

Persona 3 (Aria) and the Disgaea series (Nippon Ichi) are great examples of Anime Based games (Though the game came out before the anime for Disgaea, and the anime for Persona 3 was a spin-off) 3 years, 10 months ago
