I know OF it. But unless someone gives me magical access to all anime for free, odds are I won't even bother giving it a try :/ -

Even though I came in late, it was a great experience talking with Ryan Clements. Very cool guy. Gotta say, the IGN guys have been awesome! -

Yup, he's been great to talk to over the past few months. Wonder what we should send him (btw, not sending booze like I did to Sam; too fucking difficult). -

O lol, the safe for work issue. Over the summer at the end of my internship I put a bottle of Absolut on my bosses desk. -

MKV isn't universally accepted on all media devices. Until it breaks through, it is fail. Also, it uses up too much room. -
GooieGreen

But MKV and AVI are both simply containers and can contain multiple audio and subtitle tracks. It's all about what codecs you use. -
The_Bug

This was an awesome podcast! I won't say it was better, but it was a direction that I enjoyed, regardless of the constant derailing. But yeah, MKV is good for viewing purposes...and that's it. It's worthless otherwise & has little support. More l8r. -

You forgot a bullet point: Ryan is almost never mentioned in the show notes, even though he has the most interesting things to say, especially compared to Mr. Jim Oh-Whatever-Seems-Popular Robert. -

@The_Bug good call on the codecs, I personally prefer to encode mkv with xvid or h264 and mp3... aac strikes me as a snobbish audio codec haha - and ALWAYS ALWAYS it must have the subtitles and both english/japanese audio embedded. avi can't do subs -

Podcast 14 overall was entertaining (and that's a key factor in any podcast), but basically because you guys are really good at making fun of each other the games you're playing. XD It was also informative to an extent of what OP is doing and planning, but still mostly about games. Listening to this podcast made me realize that the last few podcasts have been pretty heavy on the gamer content, pretty good on user content, and lacking in anime/general fandom content. Now I know you guys are mostly into gaming and I personally don't actively search out anime news, but I'm thinking we need a bit more discussion geared towards the threads at least. It got sidetracked away from threads in this podcast, You guys require Sasha and someone else to balance out the gamer testosterone. Other points: 4 months, 1 week ago

Great points! We agree that it hasn't been as focused on anime topics as it should be. So, expect some on next weeks podcast, ie. we'll make it up to ya ;-) lol -

Had a great interview with Dirk Tiede at NYAF mostly about his original comic/webmanga, “Paradigm Shift." The story begins as a cop drama – or something resembling one – and transforms into a werewolf… um story. Sorry about the terrible pun. I just couldn’t help myself. Jim bought the first two books (out of the trilogy) and found the story to be both fun and suspenseful. I recommend you check it out :) You can read the entire story as a webmanga and if you like it, please don’t hesitate to leave comments, or even buy the books! A full article will appear soon, as well as a review of the books after the completion of the 3rd. Hope you enjoy this bonus episode as much as we did. See you next week ^_^ 5 months, 1 week ago

I liked this Podcast a lot. A refreshing change from the concentraton on Japanese Anime. I'm trying to think of something awesome for you guys to talk about. Maybe you can list the Top-10 something.... Top 10 Animes ever, top 10 heroes, villains,, movies...... Give it a try. A segment like that would be long and fun. P.S. I love the MGMT opening but it's starting to get on my nerves a bit, I usually just skip it. Dunno. Just sayin'. 5 months, 3 weeks ago

Podcast 6 For me, this was more of the down-to-earth, slightly geekier podcasts. I enjoyed it mostly for it behind the scenes content regarding a small portion of the gaming industry and the controversial, thought-provoking questions that were asked. Yes, you guys did goof off once you reached the site topics portion of the cast, but it had a different feel and a lot less derailing. ^^ Thanks for sharing your experiences with us, Sam. I want to explain the confusion of my comment about "incorporating audio into Dance of Heart." I want to eventually have some audio on the site or make mp3s downloadable to better engage the reader in the moments where dancing is occurring. Obviously, it's a manga, but because it is on the web, potential for different interactive ideas exists. Nothing is promised nor is it necessary - there's no way I could make this happen on my own anyway - but it's just a thought for the future. 6 months, 1 week ago
