I've noticed that a character in a anime is sometimes portrayed diffrent in the mana (if there is manga) Also if a remake some the characters get some tweks to their personalites.
Example:
Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the my favortiue series (I'm an Asuka fan-boy I admit it) I recently wathced Eva 1.0 and noited Shinji seem to be portrayed a bit less whiny than the orginal tv series and in the orginal manga (Angelic Days and Shinji Ikari Project not included) he seems even less so. so I ask if you have a favorite version of a character?
I haven't seen Eva 2.0 yet so I don't know whats Asuka's like yet.

I know what you mean. In School Days, Makoto's anime version was very...man-whore-ish. So much, you just wanna punch him. But in the manga adaptation, he's very timid and tries to do the right thing. So I like to watch/read both adaptations just to get a feel for each character's portrayal in either medium. :D 5 months ago
