New York Anime Festival. The long awaited arrival...is still pretty far off

I now know what I will be cosplaying... or at least... I think I know... ;3 Just look fer the purple haired chick with widespread black wings cause I'm cosplaying Dark Mousy from DNAngel on Saturday. Bianchi from Katekyo Hitman Reborn on Sunday.

So's If you see me there definitely come over and say "HEY! I KNOW YOU! PERSON FROM OTAKU PRIDE! YAY!" or something like that ^^

Oh I'm defiantly going. My ticket is hanging on my wall right next to this computer.

This is quite upsetting but I have NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO money for NYAF and I mean 0, I guess I'll have to much off my mom.

Yeah, I cant wait till. It seems to be very interesting. My cosplay is almost complete. I just have get the rest of the materials which is on their way and put everything together. I will Make sure I get alot of pictures and possibly some moving video of us at the con so that I can put it on my website to show everyone. WOOT!

well Im with Naota and going in the D.Gray-Man cosplay...we have a group going he's the Earl, we have a Komui, possible Tyiki, Jas and Devi and I'm going as Chomeskue. As for the costs, I'm staying at my boyfriends who lives 2 blocks away from the Javit Center.

I cannot wait for the NYAF. I am doing a huge cosplay this year. I am making a Millennium Earl Cosplay with Lero. I Cant wait to see everyones reactions.

Okay, so I read the latest e-mail that was sent out to all 0P members. I wanted to know if any of us had to get the NYAF pass through 0P in order to get the advertising freebies. I'd still want them, but I really don't think I'm in a position to shell out the 3-day pass just for one day of attendance. I just can't justify it considering transportation, food, and maybe one or two purchases, and I should buy my ticket soon.

Also, has 0P already been registered as a group for a group discount? Forgive me if I'm a bit paranoid, but I just want to make sure I have all the facts I need before making a move.

I now have a friend coming along with me for sure on Saturday. I may cosplay as Setsuna F. Seiei again, but it depends on how she feels about following me around. Considering doing a casual version somehow as well since she could TOTALLY be Marina Ismali. I'd be more inclined if I knew she or the cosplay crew from ANEXT would be.

In any case, 0taku Pride meet up! We should like all have lunch together or something, but we need a meeting place. Someone who is familiar with the con space should suggest a locale.

There will be a cosplay picnic the week before Nyaf, I believe on a saturday, in the central park ramble... just in case you wanted to know ^^

I'm buying the tickets in August, and preparing a infamous "Free Hugs" sign (what's better than getting hugged by some cute cosplayer chicks) And luckly, it's a 15 minuet train ride for me XD

Wow,it never fails....I always miss the damn festival! The irony of it is I will be moving to Tokyo in 3 weeks.

NYAF is going to be so amazing this year. A bunch of friends and I are doing a Left 4 Dead group. Were all going to go out to different parts of manhattan and do photoshoots. Were even gonna take pics down in the subway. Cant wait XD

I have no clue what I'm going as. any ideas?

Im probably going. We should meet. I dont usually dress up. Might bring my V for Vandetta (EFG) mask. And my Dai Gurren Brigade shirt.

This is the first and only convention I've gone to. Can't wait to this year's. Last time, I was on crutches and attempted to dress up as the fat detective from detetive conan but was repeatedly mistaken for indiana jones.

I don't think a wig'll work. My hair is king of....big. I'll probably just end up styling my own hair. I think I've solved my jacket problem, but thanks for the info!

I actually bought my mustang outfit from hellocosplay.com cause I was lazy.

I would not suggest buying a mustang costume there...

My costume came devoid of the credentials and gloves that Mustang so very much needs on his outfit... and now I am both without them... and I have an ill fitting pair of pants which I now have to tailor... -facepalm- shoulda bought the one I saw on ebay...damn... ah well

As to the hair fer Hawkeye, seeing as I do not know what type of hair you have in the present, I suppose I'd have to say getting a simple blonde wig at cosworx.com (very good wig site, though the selection is rather limited...) and styling it would be your best bet. If that does not work out fer you then you could always search fer the specific wig itself. I'm sure someone on cosplay.com might be willing to sell one. There are a good selection of wigs up fer the taking there but I've never bought one there myself cause I have...issues... over things that arent...fresh from the store... or made myself. ^^ I hope my info helps you in at least some tiny way.

where did you get the military jacket for mustang? or did you make it? I'v ebeen consedering throwing together a hawkeye costume, but it's likely to fail, even if I do find a jacket. The hair will present a definite problem...

@jim I was hoping there would be one when I was out in Cali... NOPE! I'm not driving 7 hours after 6 hours on a plane.
