We have released Issue #023 without toning. This will definitely become the way we release each issue from now on to avoid any further delays because of how hard we work to make each issue perfect. Also, Dance of Heart now has a Twitter account! @danceofheart. Dance of Heart is something we're working on in our spare time, but both KOU and I hate leaving people in the dark with radio silence. We'd really like to connect with our readers better and build some semblance of trust in this busy period in our lives. Since our current website layout doesn't lend itself well to giving updates without pushing our current issue off the page, a good way to start is to tweet progress reports on where we are with each issue as it is developed. So please follow @danceofheart if you'd like to keep up with progress and releases in semi real-time. Also, feel free to follow me and KOU at our individual accounts @alexciel and @kouleifoh respectively. We look forward to it! 8 months, 2 weeks ago

If anyone is interested, you can read the unfinished version of the next issue that is now up on the site: Issue #022 Unfinished - "Some place to be" It's sure to be changed once the final version is complete. 9 months ago

New Dance of Heart is out and a short announcement after the link. Issue #021 - "Make You Forget" Now that Kou is back in the swing of things, and I have fine-tuned my scripting/direction to being about as short as a typical manga page with respect to how much time sleep Kou has to sacrifice to get this to me, I think we'll be able to shoot for one issue a week again. Also, instead of gunning for a certain day to release the issue on, we'll just be trying to make it available asap during each week. This seems to be the most reasonable way to be consistent on some level. Apologies to people who actually look forward to this. Wouldn't surprise me if loyalties have dropped. Regardless, we're still loyal to the story, and will continue on despite life being a setback. With that said, thanks to those who continue to support our efforts. I'm well aware that this story is just getting more difficult to read on an issue by issue basis. 9 months, 2 weeks ago

I'm trying to figure out how this one continues off of the last one... I don't know if it's just me, but I'm having a hard time understanding this one.
Oh yeah, I stick by what I said to you before - Don't go for the "once a week" thing. -

Do what you can and then release a few pages each month. The larger time frame will make the job easier to work around and reduce the stress on both you and Kou. -

Miyaki goes to her seat after slamming in her test. The problem with switching to a monthly releases is that 1) we don't know how many we can get done in that span and 2) there is no reason for anyone to remember that we even exist after long silence -

On behalf of this project, I really apologize for a month's worth of silence. It really sucks how uncontrollable situations gets in the way of the best contrived plans...Anyway, in case you haven't checked back since the last reply here, Issue #019 has been out for a month. And the newest issue that was just put out minutes ago...! Issue #020 - Panties Are Nothing 9 months, 3 weeks ago

This is what the end result of these comics should be: iPhone app. At the end of the series, remaster every single image (sorry Kou) and every panel (sorry again) so it fits on the iPhone (sorry Steve Jobs). 11 months ago

Issue #017 - Tripping Up You can tell just how top grade Miyaki's class is when two girls can find time in between finishing a big test to chat about something called KOKORO NO DANSU. Probably for the first time, Miyaki's curiosity is piqued, which causes a prank to completely backfire in a most unexpected way...! In DoH Creators news, KOU is starting his last run of college this week. This means that there is a chance we may have to drop down to a minimum of ONE issue a week depending on how rigorous his classes are. From what I gather, it's going to be a real experience for him to handle. Since people actually read Dance of Heart, we wanted to be realistic about the possibility. Your continual support is much appreciated. 11 months ago

To those who are following Dance of Heart, I have been hard at work making big content updates to better accommodate visitors and readers. They are: Hope someone benefits from this (the poor writer is so under-appreciated...;_; ) and thanks for the continued support. ^ ^ 11 months, 1 week ago

KOU and I had a great time on the Otaku Pride podcast yesterday! Thanks to the 0P Team for inviting us on and letting us gab about our very special project, Dance of Heart. I hope visitors/readers will check out the fifth installment of the Otaku Pride Podcast! Please let them (and us) know what you think! And now for today's release: Just when it seems like Miyaki had been bested by Yuki, she stakes her claim. At the same moment, she unintentionally grips the attention of Shinoru, dazzling him mid-criticism, a feat not easily accomplished! 11 months, 1 week ago

To those who are following, we're surprisingly running late with our Monday issue. It's been a pretty off weekend for Kou and I in our own ways, but I'm hoping we can release the Monday issue before the end of tomorrow. For now, here's Friday's: We reenter the story later on with Miyaki taking on the big test she's been freaking out about since the beginning of the story. Will she be able to determine Yuki's fate with her quick thinking and dynamic writing? EDIT: Well, two days over expectations can't be helped, but Shinoru and Toshio-sensei have their own kind in mind. 11 months, 2 weeks ago

Hey everyone. I know we're still in the early stages of this story, but I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions of how to better gauge and reach out to what bit of an audience we have. I know a good portion of my friend circle read this, but those on the outside are a mystery. I don't think we're at a point where a message board would be within reason and the 0P Team have been great with plugging this, and letting me update this topic. A lot of what I need is on me with the bad layout I have, but any thoughts that don't involve me writing text where the manga is supposed to go are welcomed. Thanks for the support. 11 months, 2 weeks ago

[EXTRA]#01 - Yuriko Update With Kou's week-long vacation down south having come and gone, I decided to give our readers a bit of a treat with some Extras. We let Yuriko do a bit of talking after she gently brought Miyaki back down to reality at the end of Issue #013. And today's extra features EtherFuture's newest artistic talent to join our circle doing a beautiful fanart of Dance of Heart's leading lady. We'll be hitting the issues again as usual this Friday! ^_^ 11 months, 3 weeks ago

Issue #012 - Perfect Distraction Shinoru Tomoshino seems to have already made a big impression on the entire class in a matter of minutes, while Miyaki Namida reveals just how much of a top-scoring otaku she truly is. Perhaps this is why only Yuriko Nara understands her? What does Yuki Senkou think of his unspoken rival? Keep reading to find out! 12 months ago

Well here it is! ^^ Unless you check on the site for the weekly Fri/Mon releases, I'll be updating 0P on Mondays with links to both releases. =] -

Dance of Heart continues to roll along on schedule for the most part. In the following two issues, we're introduced to two new male characters, Yuki Senkou and Shinoru Tomoshino. Having only known Miyaki and Yuriko so far, I wonder what others make of these two guys... We have also moved into the realm of toning to give DoH more of that manga feel that we want. As with everything, we'll improve as we go in order to make each issue better than the last. Our production of each issue is still evolving, so we hope it's remains an enjoyable read despite that. To those who have been reading and putting up with us as we learn, thank you. 1 year ago

Well, Jim is suggesting that I start posting individual issues in separate threads (at least that's what I think he means in his last post...). I think this would be a bit excessive to this community when there is still such a small following. I'd actually be more interested in directing people from the site to this community for talk about it instead of people leaving comments on the site. If you have any thoughts regarding this, I'd like to hear them. By the way, #008 and #009 are out. 1 year ago

The distinction between threads/posts/replies/comments is a little confusing. It would make sense to have each issue as a "reply" to the main topic in this "post". which is what you did, so... AWESOME! -

I think keeping it all in one thread is a good idea for now, but I think as both dance of heart and otaku pride grow you'll need to start using a special dance of heart tag and putting each issue into a thead=) But I like this way for the near future -

spoilers: we're going to add support for tags that a user can own (like you could own the dance-of-heart tag, and nobody else could use it) or something similar -

This sounds like an interesting idea. =] That is a nice spoiler for sure! I'd like to own my own tag. XD I just want to make sure there is no spamming. I also want people to visit the actual site once I can make it better. -

I feel kind of silly for asking this, but when you say "a series of posts," what are you getting at? .___. -

@jim Yes, but I don't post them because it will overflow off the layout. I tried to choose a resolution that would compensate, but there are times when the text does get too small, I know. I can make larger ones available though... Sent a quick note to Kou about this and only Issue 06 was difficult for text. I got a bit crazy with my direction, so it's my fault that there's so much going on with little space for text. That was a fluke and won't happen again. We're also restricted to the pre-made layout I chose at this time. I have every intention of making it a bit larger when I am able to design a custom layout of DoH. Very sorry that size is taking away from the enjoyment. I'll be exploring solutions this weekend. 1 year ago

@maria Nope. Don't need any particular OS. Like I said, my illustrator and I bought it legitimate at an Apple Store. It contains both Windows & Mac install disks. Linux, I'm not too sure about, but since Macs run on Unix, the Mac install disk may work on Linux.. 1 year, 1 month ago
