The Future of Love

The Future of Love - Might 2D love be the future of romance?

I examine what may cause someone to prefer pixels to warmth, metal to flesh. Is it fair to dismiss out of hand those who prefer simulacra? Assuming technology advances to the point where a robot could be your spouse and cover all spousal duties, would you still have a preference for real humans?

Artificial intelligence researcher David Levy at the University of Maastricht has even gone on record saying, “My forecast is that around 2050, the state of Massachusetts will be the first jurisdiction to legalize marriages with robots.”

2D women are perfect, but can't be held.
