Since Twilight, vampires are getting to main-stream, it's getting annoying. If I hear Edward Cullen ONE MORE TIME.... Seriously is it only me? Or is it getting on your nerves too?

I think Twilight wasn't terrible, but then it sparked a whole horrible vampire books/movies craze. Then Stephanie Meyer continued the series but wrote it, instead of actually trying to make it good, like a crappy movie. Like, it could have been really good if Stephanie Meyer didn't just want to make money. The thing that sucks is that now the good vampire stuff that came about before Twilight is now pulled under the 'vampire craze' umbrella. 9 months, 3 weeks ago

Sorry, but in general, all of her books were terrible, all of them. -

I watched Underworld because of the Werewolves vs Vampire thing. I find that it was only ok... After that I wasn't really into the vampire thing anymore. Maybe the Blade: Vampire Hunter movies were kinda fun to watch, but that's all. I read the first Vampire Knight volume and just didn't care about it... But I think I'm reading one of the best vampire stories in a while, Dance in the Vampire Bund! Anything else besides Vampire Bund is non-existent to me. 9 months, 3 weeks ago

Also, if you haven't had a chance to watch the recent BBC series "Being Human", you should. It has some awesome vampiring. A sample: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Got6Mp8jhQI 9 months, 3 weeks ago

Twilight is the murderer of the vampire genre... Just like Harry Potter killed almost all of my interest in wizards. (Though I admit the books were good when I was younger.) 10 months ago

Some kids came Trick-or-Treating at my house. 2 siblings. The girl was Bella and the boy was Edward. I asked them who they were for Halloween and the girl said "I'm Bella Swan! From Twilight!". She was about 8. Her brother, about 10, said "I'm a fairyfaggot!" I think he was my favorite costume of all time. But seriously though, Twilight burnt out anything Vampire related for me. Except Anne Rice books. I own all of them. I just want to make this clear: VAMPIRES DO NOT SPARKLE! 10 months ago

I'll have to say it again (said this many times to my friends)...having tween vampire issues is WAY TOO much..I mean did Twilight pretty much kill the whole vampire genre in one sitting, IMHO it did. Before this there was Bram Stokers Dracula, the Anne Rice series, the Underworld movies, the Sookie Stackhouse books/series, the Vampire Hunter D books/anime, the Undead Saga books, and tons more...but OMG give me a frikking break does there have to be a teen angst movie even about probally the most beloved fansty realm too!?!?!?!? Hate to say this but Stephanie Meyer (sp) killed it for everyone 10 months ago

Yeah don't forget about LJ Smith, every story she writes, is exactly THE SAME. I mean really it's just pathetic. -

[thank god werewolves and zombies aren't sexy haha] quote from Jim
well I have to argue that one, there are TWO zombies that are "sexy" Lord Raptor and Hsien-Ko both from the Darkstalkers game/anime
also Jon the werewolf too :P -

ik it's quite sad how once twilight came out there have been many competing movies... therefore making the whole vampire thing getting old. which is is very depressing for me because i have always loved vampires. so in the end i blame twilight 4 killing the vampire spirit. :( 10 months ago

I like the whole Vampire thing, and I started to get into it around when I was nine when I first played "Vampire The Masquerade: Redemption". Even more so when that movie Underworld came out. But...holy god, once the Twilight movie hit, it got annoying. I mean, sure, some of it started with the book, but even when the books first started coming out, it wasn't very popular (initially). No, you're not alone on this one. I'm with ya! And aren't vampires supposed to burn when they're exposed to sunlight? >.< 10 months, 1 week ago

Underworld is one of my fav movies ever. Then the vegitarian vampire came around and ruined EVERYTHING, my God, I was a vampire lover before is was cool, I got those nasty looks from people because of it, NOW, it's popular, go figure. -

Go rent it. Or buy it. The other Underworld movies didn't really live up to the first one though. :/ -

The first one was pretty awesome, it's hard to live up to those expectations. -
