I'm sure that many of you have watched an Anime that was adapted from Manga's and found it not as good, if not worse then the Manga...

For example, Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning had an Anime for it which ranged 25 Episodes. The Anime itself wasn't bad per say, but it didn't answer many questions unlike what the Manga did, the ending itself leaves you a bit unsatisfied, especially to those who haven't even read the Manga, thus are left in the dark...

Another would be Soul Eater, It too started with a promising start, though in the final episodes it began to turn to a different form, in which the very ending itself left many exited fans extremely disappointed with how it all ended...

So tell me what you think guys, what do think made these Anime's live to the expectations of their Manga versions...? Is it that their wasn't enough Episodes, or is it cause it didn't follow the Manga completely or was it something else completely...?

Let me hear what YOU think...? :D

Kuroshitsuji. The manga is fairly new so there wasn't enough material for the anime which meant... Fillers! I don't mind fillers so much if they follow the feel of the manga, but it didn't happen here. The characters were completely out of character compared to the manga. Also the dark themes in the manga were turned into humor.

And I also agree on Spiral

Yeah, I hear Soul Eater's anime ending was a giant letdown. I'm still getting there myself however.

xxxHolic would've also been way better if it had followed the manga. Provided it's already really good, but the manga storyline is EPIC!!!

I would say Soul Eater is the best example. I've also heard that the first FMA series was like that, though I never watched it for a while.

(@Albireo since it was too long for a Comment... xD;)

I disagree with you on that last point, cause in my view it's the other way around...

Most Anime's that are adapted from Manga's don't last long as much the Manga does... A familiar scene as such is it cutting off at the ending, while as the manga continues much more...!

That's why I feel both joy and fear when I see an Anime of my Favorite manga... xD; Joy at the site of something I enjoyed reading coming to life while as fear at the possibility it wouldn't tale the story to it's full content and just stop abruptly before reaching even deeper to where the Manga stops or even the point it has reached at that time...

I've seen this happen to many times in the past, though I can't say how they can fix it since most NEW Anime's would have 25 Episodes at best( Though there are some which go even higher then that...)

A solution to this would be another season for the Anime, but very few get this chance...

Also, without the fillersodes, the story goes alot quicker in the manga which is nice. Unlike in Dragonball Z:

......"KA!!!!" (episode 26)..."ME" (episode 27)..."HA" (episode 28)..."ME" (episode 29)..."HHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" (episode 30)

finally!!

My opinion: Once an anime starts putting in the filler episodes, it's worse than the manga. >_> Just saying...
