Top Ten Favorite Anime Series of All Time?

Leaving out many deserving movies and OAVs, just my favorite TV series are:

1) Legend of Galactic Heroes

2) Super Dimension Fortress Macross

3) Cowboy Bebop

4) Steam Detectives (some personal reasons behind that)

5) Tsubasa Chronicle

6) Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex

7) Honey And Clover

8) Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni

9) Victorian Romance Emma

10) Martian Successor Nadesico

With a special Honorable Mention for Detroit Metal City, which may be the flat-out funniest anime ever made.

I should also say that the top three series on this list in particular are all essentially flawless, and all really deserve to be called perfect. We're really only talking degrees of perfection with them.

@maria Sorry that I can't reply directly to your comment--I don't have 50 karma yet. xD But it's great to see another Hikaru no Go and Katekyo Hitman Reborn fan! :D I was beginning to think I was an endangered species. :P I've read more than half the mangas on your list, and I agree those are great--they just didn't make my top ten. :P Death Note ftw! xD
