I just started to read thee manga not too long ago n it seems pretty cool =] and i jus found out there is a anime for it aswell =]
Well Rosario + Vampiren is about a normal mortal guy named Tsukune who ends up going to a school for monsters [ vampires, werewolves, etc etc etc ] because he cannot get accepted to other schools thnxs to his sucky grades.
He mets a vampire chick named Moka who ends up taking his blood, but becoming good friends aswell.... and the story continues where she unleashes her powers to save him or to fight " evil " by having him pull off the rosary on her neck that happens to limit her powers.

I have watched the sub'd version of Rosario+Vampire and Rosario+Vampire Capu 2. Loved the series despite the level of fan service. The anime and the manga do go in different paths eventually (read some of the translated issues) but it is still pretty good. I won't spoil the fun by telling what happens to (uh nevermind). It's not a deep story line but I don't think that was the intention. I am currently working my way through the manga and enjoying it as well. 11 months, 1 week ago

Thus far, I've watched three subbed episodes and I've laughed at every one of them! Okay, so YES there are a lot of panty-shots, and yes boobs are everywhere and bouncing more than they do in a Dead or Alive game... but still, it is very funny. I think Sasha's interpretation of the show is a little misguided. I argue the same "monster attacks, rescue comes" plot for Bleach, Dragon Ball Z, Inuyasha... just about any anime with mild fighting. What makes it good is how it breaks the forth wall a lot, and the random bat that comes to fill in any missing detail. Very enjoyable, just make sure you are around the right people when you watch it. I can't imagine having my grandpa over to see it (but then again, he hates everything).

Just watched the first episode... there's a lot of fan service, and not much plot but there are lots of funny moments. My recommendation is that you watch it with friends to fully enjoy the (somewhat inadvertant) humor 11 months, 1 week ago

Sorry Maria, but the series are very different from each other. Vampires are a common theme in the animanga world (Rosario+ Vampire, Blood+, Trinity Blood, Hellsing, Vampire Knight, etc) but I wouldn't really say they're all similar. -
