Twilight: The Anime?

The only possible upside of this would be that if this got popular enough, there would be Twilight cosplayers at conventions. Then we could whack them with our Keyblades and such.

Granted, It's anime material. Many Twilight/Vampire fans and whatever overlap into the realm of Anime fans. But I wouldn't bother watching it, personally. Not my cup of tea....

I don't know how popular it is in Japan, but the mangas are already there. It's really just a matter of translating/printing them in english...

Ah this...Just more promotions for a common book series. Meh, I personally would never watch something that sounds this...well...stupid (but hell, that's me)

Bleh, I can't wait to either see tons of people raving at how "good" this would be, or raging at how it "Was nothing like the book!" or some other insignificant thing like that. But everyone is entitled to their own, so they can go and enjoy if they want.

I wouldn't be sad because I see no reason to take a fictional story - that really isn't all that unique when you really get past all the hype BS - like Twilight and turn it into an anime. Besides, even if they did, I somehow doubt that Stephenie Meyer would 1) care very much after her own fandom pissed her off and 2) receive much compensation for it.

Oh, and did I mention that otherwordly beings loving human girls is nothing new in Japan? Seriously, it wouldn't faze anyone there and would ultimately become a meager capitalization on an already fading fad regardless of their mindset going into it.

Yeah, I'm old fashion, or it could be the fact that I'm not a moronic 13 year old girl, but I don't give a crap about this.

Twilight leads to anger; anger leads to hate; hate leads to more American franchises (good or bad) being turned into Anime.

I hope to god not... then again... maybe it could be a good gateway drug. It's not like I would watch it anyway.
