The first manga you ever read!

The first manga I read was Ranma 1/2 when I got interested in the anime. I googled it and went on a website which showed scans of the show in comic book format. I then discovered that it is called manga and have since preferred manga to anime.

Well, Shonen Jump was my first gateway to manga. Then I discovered the manga section at Barnes & Nobles (I don't get that name, by the way) and randomly picked a manga to buy just because I thought the girl on the cover was cute. Turns out that was Fruits Basket, and I've been a fan of FB since then...and shoujo manga.

I actually did that again recently, only this time I really did pick something from the store shelf at random, and instead of checking out the hot girl on the cover, I checked the price lol. Saw that it was a 3-in-1 for 20 bucks, so I jumped on it and became a fan of .HACK//Legend of the Twilight. XD

I'm not sure which, but it was either Book 1 of Ranma 1/2 or Gundam 0079 (or one of them really close to that one; I can't keep track, there are so many Gundam stories).

GAH I had to think? :(

Mega Tokyo, although im not sure if that counts... so....im not sure...hmmm....

My first was the manga rendition of Disgaea...which of course led me to shell out $30 for the first game on PSP

Aventura by Shin Midorikawa~ My mother was a librarian at the time and she got it for free in a bulk shipment so she gave it to me to see if I would like it. It's not a very well-known series but the artwork is AMAZING and the story is very compelling ^_^

+Anima...the only manga they sold at my school book sale that wasn't a beaten up Shonen Jump magazine from six months prior...

I still love that manga, just bought the next few volumes a couple of months ago...by the next few volumes I mean like, volumes 4 and 5 because I've basically just re-read the first 3 for the past four years.

My first manga was Angel Sanctuary. My senpai - the one who introduced me to manga, true anime, and PSX - had translations he had printed out and put in a ring-bound binder with the physical Japanese copy already bought. This story shaped much of who I am today, and set my standards high for quality art and storytelling.

This was over 7 years ago.

I would have to say Peach Girl. My library had poor taste in manga and was bad at keeping the childrens' manga from the older teens' manga,so my first manga was technecly rated R. And I was in 2nd grade.
