Domo was just a silly mascot for a TV Broadcasting company...which suddenly became very popular... Not too surprising as there were many other company mascots in Japan that had a cult following which includes fans drawing doujinshi of their favorite mascot. But what exactly he's supposed to be? Im getting so P.O.'d because me and my big sis just got Domo kun shirts and people keep walking up to me and going, "Isnt that that weird puffy thing from 7-11." -

So sad...though I felt bad because I yelled at my friend the other day for saying "Hey, that Domo from 7-11, right?" and he got reaally embarassed. He's bald and his whole scalp turned bright red. -

Maybe, they and Target are wising up and starting to realize that there is a consumer base they are missing by not marketing to fans of Anime, Otaku, and people who like all things Japanese in general. -

Anyone notice that 7-11 and Target have been advertising Domo merchanidise and stuff around Halloween? He's perfect for the holiday: a big, fluffy, brown, monster that poeple will recognize wherever they go and think, "oh, isn't that from 7-11?" -
