When I was around 5 years old my brother and I would watch Pokemon ever Saturday morning and that was when i began to watch anime. However, after wathing "Spirited Away" a fantastic anime movie my love for anime grew more. So, How did u get into anime? Through a T.V. show? Did you start drawing anime? Tell me :)

I watched Pokemon and Digimon as a kid (uh, I think I was eightish then?). But the thing that really got me to understand it was anime and get more into it was Inuyasha, which my friend introduced me too in... 6th or 7th grade, so I would've been 12/13. Been into anime ever since, so it's been at least seven years. But I count the Pokemon and Digimon days, so I say ten. 3 years, 7 months ago

In a time...when Cartoon Network was actually good. A afternoon block of epicness stood. Hell yeah, Toonami! Sailor Moon, Dragonball/z, Pokemon (did that show on it?). Good times spent during my childhood. 3 years, 7 months ago

I watched Pokemon, Digimon and other stuff on TV when I was a kid, but the anime that really got me into manga and the whole fandom thing was Tokyo Mew Mew. I was like...10/11. That's also when I started drawing fanart. 3 years, 7 months ago

I loved Voltron as a kid, because it was different from all the other cartoon at the time. I didn't realize how different till a Sci-fi marathon many years later. I saw one of the fight scenes in Project A-Ko, and it the drawing style remained me instantly of Voltron so I taped the whole marathon. It included Project A-ko, Dominion Tank Police and Venus Wars. 3 years, 7 months ago

For the longest time, I watched anime as a kid without even realizing it was anime. It was all Sailor Moon, Pokemon and DBZ for me. Then Toonami got more animes, like Rurouni Kenshin and Tenchi Muyo. Kids WB started showing Yugioh, which was a huge turning point for me. And I discovered Adult Swim animes like Inuyasha, Case Closed and Yu Yu Hakusho. Things went downhill from there. Before I knew it, I was an anime addict. lol 3 years, 7 months ago

Isn't that the case for everyone? I mean really. :) -

I watched Pokémon when I was young--you know, back when they only had about 100 pokémon?--but didn't know it was anime. Then in, like, somewhere between kindergarten and the end of first grade I got into InuYasha. My friend's big sister was into it, so she told her sister about it, who told me. Ever since then, I have been a proud anime addict. 3 years, 7 months ago

Well, most people seem to have started with pokemon, and so did I! Except, I think I saw Kiki's Delivery Service first because my grandma got it for me when i was little and I watched it constantly. I never actually watched pokemon on tv; I had the first 2 episodes on tape and watched them over and and over and over, just like with Kiki's Delivery Service. The first show I actually watched on tv was yugioh. After that came inuyasha and naruto, then Fullmetal Alchemist and the movie Princess Mononoke sealed the deal. 3 years, 7 months ago

Although I remember watching Samurai Pizza Cats and Speed Racer, but what really got me into anime was Dragonball Z and Sailor moon. I was like what, 12? Pokemon and Digimon came later :P 3 years, 7 months ago
