Del Ray Party at NYAF has manga raffle
So, they're trying to sell this thing using cake. However, we know the REAL draw is in the free manga.
As the article notes, if you're not 21, you will need someone to vouch for you to get in. Mosey on over to the Otaku Pride meetup thread to find someone to sponsor your entry.

OK so I got some pics of the cake, everything else ws all blurry since I had to stand on a chair to get pics, and for those that DID get some of the cake....it was so worth it. Even after my bf spent 30$ on 2 mixed drinks O_O the cake made up for it. There were a few low points in my honest opinion, like the group that was sitting at teo table behind us, they were all horsing around to the point of knocking the waitstaff over, knocking chairs with people over into the main walk area (really makes me wonder how they got in at all), Also during the raffle that same group tried getting a Yaoi-Yuri battle going (not all that smart in a bar) and even for added shock value teo of the guys kissed right in the middle of the group. Other than that I had a really great time, and really hope that something like this will be done for the con next year (just maybe at a bigger place, or have someone really check the id's this time) 3 years, 8 months ago
