Favorite/Epic anime characters?
I had not seen this posted yet, so I had to go there.
So! In terms of epic characters, the first thing that comes to mind with me is Kamina. I love Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and he's just a phenomenal character. Hell, Gurren Lagann can provide actual pick-me-up's and motivational speeches. THAT ARE ACTUALLY MOTIVATIONAL. A lot of anime can't do that as flawlessly as Gurren Lagann can.
Spike Spiegel is another great character. Bebop is a classic, and, in my opinion, Spike is realistic, and multi-dimensional.
As for my personal favorites:
- Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist)
- Simon (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann)
- Mikuru Asahina (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)
- Koushiro Izumi (Izzy) (Digimon Adventure)
- Mugen, Jin, and Fuu (Samurai Champloo)
I like way too many characters, but I figured I'd keep the list short for the moment. XD If anyone wants to discuss this, I'll totally go into way more detail about said characters than people probably want to hear. -laugh-

If I tried, I probably couldn't pick any other absolute favorites. Sure, there are others that I like, but the aren't even on the same playing field as those three. 3 years, 11 months ago

Those are the only ones I can think of right now... But Motoko is my absolute favorite character X3. I too think Kamina is an epic character! Ridiculous and amazing at the same time, haha... ^^ 3 years, 10 months ago

First before I head into my list of faves I would like to say @chiyo_sen LENALEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Mkay, now that I've finished my spaz Komui moment, I must say that the characters in Samurai Champloo are sensational! Not to mention that Cowboy Bepop, the first anime I really knew was an anime and lead to my anime obsessions, has characters of sound realism, with a dash of plain EPICness. Other characters that have reached out to my tastes would be the characters of Kuroshitsuji, Fairy Tail, Reborn, D.Gray Man, Dogs and Gintama. And that is only to name a few. The reason for my not stating who the characters are is due to the lack of "bad" characters in the anime/manga themselves. /thread. EDIT: Looked back at FoxKaiya's post. Added Izzy to my list. He was my favorite from Digimon. I stopped watching it after about a quarter of the way through Digimon Adventure 02. And I agree with everything you said about Kamina. Once I was kinda depressed and feeling sorry for myself, so I rewatched the first episode to Gurren Lagann. It worked. 3 years, 10 months ago
