Worst voice acting ever?

If you want to hear some quality BAD voice acting, watch a hentai...for kicks of course. They honestly don't care who can act. As long as you can pretend you're having a good time and get the job done. It's funny and painful at the same time if you care about voice acting quality.

Watching hentai is HILARIOUS for voice acting, I agree with you.

For those who haven't seen this gem of the Conan O'Brien Show dubbing Ghost In The Shell, you will laugh if you know this series. It's pretty bad, but what makes it even more amusing is how they don't know the difference between "manga" and "anime." XD

I would say jonny Bosch as Renton thurston in eureka seven, absolutely horrible. He shouldn't do kids voices. I watched the entire series subbed then watched the first episode dubbed and I couldn't even get through it all he was so bad.

I know it's not anime, but jar jar takes the prize in my book. It may not be all the voice actors fault, but it's still seriously horrible. Curse you lucas!!!!

I can't believe how irritating jar jar Binks voice is. How can the guy doing the voice acting live with himself? And how can anyone take him seriously with that voice. I mean really?

You really can't blame the voice actor if that is what the director wanted. For movies like this, I wouldn't be surprised if Jar Jar Binks was supposed to be irritating to the point of wanting to kill him. The voice actor may have done their job for the character perfectly, but we don't always know. What we do know is that most of the time, the voice actor has no say in what voice is used. If something works, the director will pay them to do it.

I used hentai as my example because I feel that is one of the better instances where the voice acting COULD be good, but it just isn't since I guarantee that those who get those gigs just need the money and/or hate the role. Thus, the reason why many who do wind up in a hentai take on a different name to conceal their reputation.

@jim Oh yeah I did hear from you about how horrid that was, haha. Though I don't think they would have one at NYAF because of the time at which it ends (7PM). It's not late enough at night to warrant an 18+ panel I believe.
